Terms of Service
Last updated 22 September 2026. These are the terms for using dogspan.app, operated by Nikola Rosic ("we", "us"), a sole trader based in Victoria, Australia. By using the site or buying a plan you agree to them. Read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
DogSpan asks a few questions about your dog and gives a free estimate of the extra years a healthy weight could give back, then sells a one-time calorie, portion and activity plan built from published research and veterinary formulas.
DogSpan is a research-based starting point, not a diagnosis, a prescription, or a substitute for a vet who has actually examined your dog. The numbers are estimates, and published formulas for calorie needs can be off by as much as 50% for an individual dog — that's why the plan asks you to re-weigh and adjust. Always talk to your vet before changing your dog's diet or exercise, and see one directly (don't wait on us) if your dog is unwell, in pain, losing weight without trying, or you're otherwise worried. This applies especially to puppies, seniors, and dogs with existing health conditions.
You need to be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to buy a plan (Stripe also requires this to hold a payment card). The free result has no age gate, but it's aimed at dog owners, not children.
The plan is $16.99 USD, charged once. There's no subscription, no recurring charge, and nothing to cancel. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Prices can change for future purchases, but never for a plan you've already bought.
If the plan isn't right for your dog, email us within 14 days of buying it for a full refund, no questions asked. Reply to your receipt email or write to hello@dogspan.app.
There are no accounts or passwords. Your plan is a private, hard-to-guess link, emailed to you as a receipt and usable any time after. Anyone who has that link can open the plan, the same as anyone who has a paper receipt could read it — keep it the way you'd keep any other receipt. If you lose it, email us and we'll help you find it.
Don't try to break, overload, scrape, or abuse the site — for example automating checks at a rate no real visitor would, attempting to access another person's plan by guessing a link, or interfering with payments. We limit how many free checks one visitor can run per hour for exactly this reason, and may block access that looks abusive.
The DogSpan name, design, and the plan's wording and layout are ours. The answers you give us about your dog are yours; we use them only to generate and improve your result and plan, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We build DogSpan carefully and test it, but the site and the plan are provided "as is", without guaranteeing they'll be error-free, uninterrupted, or right for every dog. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for outcomes from following the plan without your vet's involvement — see "Not veterinary advice" above. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for gross negligence, fraud, or where local consumer law gives you rights we can't override.
We may update the site, these terms, or the price over time. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page; continuing to use DogSpan afterwards means you accept the change. Changes never apply retroactively to a plan you've already bought.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, without regard to conflict of law rules, except where local consumer protection law in your own country or state — including the Australian Consumer Law, for our customers — gives you rights these terms can't take away.
